Located to the rear of housing off Fairfield Road. Formerly known as ‘Dane’s Well’ this gave its name to the townland of Daneswell. It had the reputation of being a holy well with curative powers (Daly 1957, 21). It is marked as ‘Deane’s Well’ on the OS
