Ó Danachair (1955, 203) recorded the following details about this holy well; ‘St Nicholas’ Well on 1840 map. A slow spring in a cupola of brick, with a slab “St Nicholas, pray for us”. Rounds were made especially on Sundays, but devotion has died out.
