According to Ó Danachair (1955, 204) the ‘Blessed Well’ or ‘St John’s Well’ was ‘a small well surrounded by thorn bushes inside north fence of road 400 yards west of Granagh Catholic church’ where ‘no devotions remembered’. No trace of well now evident.
