Located on the SW side of a low NW-SE ridge of rock outcrop (Wth c. 20m; H c. 2m) that is at the N edge of a broad upland basin that extends off to the S. A cement cross (H 0.45m; Span 0.45m; T 0.08m) with ‘mass-rock’ inscribed in the cement at its base was set up c. 1970, but there is no local knowledge of its use as a mass-rock.
