According to Power (1908, 58-9) in the townland of Kilcarroon there is a holy well called ‘Tobar Uí Eachthigheirn – “Ahearne’s Well.” This is reputed holy, and “rounds” are still made, as the votive offerings on the overhaning tree branches testify. Loc
