Ó Danachair (1955, 207) recorded the following details about this holy well; ‘Tobermacduagh on 1841 map, “Tobar Mo-chua” on 1928 edition. A clear spring about four feet in diameter, enclosed in rough stone work, in a grove of beech trees on the hillside
