Brigid’s Way Celtic Pilgrimage follows the ancient path of Brigid, Goddess and Christian Saint. The pilgrimage route runs from St Brigid’s Shrine in Faughart, Co. Louth to St Brigid’s monastic city in Kildare town, a distance of about 70-90 miles. The pilgrimage passes through beautiful Irish landscapes from the Lisnawilly Estate and picturesque villages of county Louth, the lush farmlands of Meath, Donadea Forest Park, Coolree Bog, the Grand Canal, Pollardstown Fen and the Curragh of Kildare. Brigid remains an inspiration in these changing times, and the pilgrimage offers an opportunity to connect with the sacredness of the earth and the ancient spiritual traditions of Ireland.
