St. Kevin’s Way follows in the footsteps of St. Kevin through the hills of Wicklow to the haunting and mysterious valley of Glendalough where he spent the rest of his life in solitary prayer and contemplation. Saint Kevin was born of royal descent in Leinster and founded a monastery in Glendalough in the 6th century. The monastery became one of the most important monastic sites in Ireland. The pilgrimage route runs from Hollywood to Glendalough, passing through beautiful mountain scenery, forests, and lakes. The trail is marked with yellow arrows and pilgrim symbols.
